Log Homes
Have you always dreamed of having an authentic log home in the incredible Rocky Mountains? Spectrum is known for its log building expertise. They partner with only the highest quality log manufacturers which enables them to both ensure excellent craftsmanship and match the best manufacturer for your style & design needs.
Structural insulated panels
Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), are a high-performance building system designed to maximize insulating properties. SIPs are most commonly made of OSB panels sandwiched around a foam core made of expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS) or rigid polyurethane foam. A well-built home using SIPs will have a tighter building envelope and the walls will have higher insulating properties, which leads to fewer drafts and a decrease in heating and cooling costs. SIPS can be used in both walls and the roof. They can be used on their own or in conjunction with log, traditional, and timber framing.
Traditional Frame Construction
Traditional ‘Stick Framing’ (2x4s, 2x6s, etc) has many advantages. It is highly versatile which allows it to be used to build many different style homes. From a more traditional mountain home look to a modern contemporary design. It can also be a more economical choice than some other building materials. In addition, stick framing can be used in combination with other materials like Timber Framing to keep costs under control while still accomplishing the look and style you are looking for.
